Richard Lee Appleman

LANCASTER: Richard Lee Appleman, 76, of Lancaster, passed away, Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on December 16, 1936 to the late Clyde E. and Fern J. (Conrad) Appleman. Richard retired from Anchor Hocking after 40 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 11, AMVETS Post 1985 and also of the Glass Workers Union Local 561. He loved to make his delicious peanut butter fudge for his friends and family. Richard is survived by children Beverly (Henry Uther) Thorne, Brenda (Garey) Swisher, and Bradley R. (Sandy) Appleman; grandchildren Daniel (Donna DeLuca) Thimmes, Trista (Tom) Combs, Dustin (Amber) Courtney, Nathan (Larissa) Appleman, and Kaci (Matt) McGlothlin; 4 great grandchildren; sister Linda Mason; brothers-in-law Paul Lines and Bernard (Clara) Lines; very special friend Millie Henwood. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Lines Appleman; brothers Charles Lehman and Arthur Lehman; step-father Charles Lehman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 18th at 12:00 PM at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17th from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
