Robert Lon (Bob) Chapman
LANCASTER: Robert Lon Chapman, 71 of Colfax, passed away on December 12, 2012, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Majestic, KY, Pike County the fourth child of the late Clarence and Pearl (Harr) Chapman. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps
and was the former owner of the Hocking River Auto Salvage and Sales.
He is survived by his wife and mate of 30 years, Joann Thacker-Chapman, sons, Robert Jr. (Daniela) Chapman of Montpilier, VT, Clarence (Chip) Chapman of Columbus and Robert Rodrigquez of IL; daughter, Victoria Chapman of CA; step sons, Robert Schooley of Lancaster and Rick Kincaid of Wellston; grandchildren, Sean Chapman, Christian Chapman, Evie Chapman, Julia Chapman and Skyler Chapman; brother, Jack Chapman; seven sisters, Kerry Rodrigquez, Yvonne (Lester) Sharp, Beulah Cooperrider, Charlene Boch, Sharon Hickey, Margie (Randy) Howard and Jeannie Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie Healy; brother, Willis Ray Chapman; nephew, Terry Chapman; step son, Tony Kincaid and a step daughter, Betty Schooley.
Funeral Services will be held 1 pm Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Kincaid officiating. Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Lancaster Burial Detail.
