Roger Fisher Moury

BRADENTON, FL: Roger Fisher Moury of Bradenton, FL. Formerly of Lancaster, died, Sept. 25, 2012. Born in Cleveland, OH on Nov. 2nd,1931.

Roger was a graduate of West High School in Columbus, and The Ohio State University. He joined the Navy and rose to the rank of Commander where he served as a Naval Aviator and was in the first squadron to fly jets off aircraft carriers. He later became an Intelligence Officer serving as the Naval Attaché to Finland.

He was a loving husband,father, an avid gardener,golfer, and dog lover.

He is survived by his wife of 57yrs, Betty Sue; daughter,Bridget Donnelly,husband Terry of Kauai,HI; son, Captain Matthew Moury USN (Ret), wife Jan of Annapolis,MD; grandchildren, Dr. Kaelynn Moury, Quinn Donnelly, 1st Lt.Cameron Moury USMC,and Shaye Donnelly.

Memorial service will be at 11:30 A.M.Oct.19,2012 at Roser Community Church, Anna Maria,FL.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
