Roscoe Robert (Bob) (Sonny) Brady
LANCASTER: Roscoe Robert (Bob) (Sonny) Brady, 71 of Lancaster passed away on Monday February 25, 2013 at the Fairfield Medical Center.
He was born on April 4, 1941 in Nabob, Kanawha County, WV to Dairl and Geneva Brady. Bob graduated from Logan High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He was Scoutmaster for Boys Scouts of America. Bob retired from the sheet metal trade; he drove tour bus extensively for Cavalier Coach and escorted two annual trips across country with the Canton Drum Corps. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, and gardener. In recent years, he was an active member of the Lancaster Farmer's Market known as the "Jelly Man".
Bob is survived by his mother Geneva Brady of Logan, wife Sherry (Smith) Brady; children, Diane Hunt of Lancaster, Janet (Jimmie) Poff of Carroll, Michael (Anna) Brady of Powder Springs, GA; step son, Charles (Amanda) Miller of Logan; sister, Jane (Bob) Aspery of Pataskala; brothers, Galin of Carroll, and Neal (Allison) of New Bremen, OH. He has eight grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00AM on Friday March 1, 2013 at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME, wit Pastor Jason Blackwell officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be on Thursday February 28 from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Friday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the funeral home. back in the days, we were neighbors on harrison ave.yes, dad and bob got to be buddies and i sure have heard alot of stories..the time they were working on a vehicle, bob pored gas in the carborator and lit it. lit up the whole neighborhood. yes, they did get the car running!!. remembering cleaning fish and turtles . the turtle soup!!lots of fond memories of bob and the family. . you may leave here but never forgotten REST IN PEACE
