William R. "Chip" Black

LANCASTER: William Romie "Chip" Black, 48, of Lancaster went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 05, 2014 at the Columbus Alzheimer Center in Columbus Ohio. He was born in Lancaster July 21, 1965 to James R. and Sandra A (Towe) Black, formally of Lancaster, and currently in Melbourne, Florida. Bill was a 1985 graduate of Lancaster High School. Bill served in the US Navy from 1987 to 1990. He was an over the road semi truck driver working out of Minneapolis, MN.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Nicole Noel Black of Knoxville Tennessee and Savannah Marie Black; son, Owen Romie Black of Farmington, Minnesota. Bill's mother, Sandra A Black, and father, James R. Black; sisters, Debbie A Black of Santa Maria, CA, Kathleen M. Tewelow of Lancaster; brother, Mark D Black of Lancaster; nieces, Rachael Stinson, Gabrielle Ann Black, and nephew, William H. Tewelow, III, now serving in the U.S. Navy.

Bill's family would like to thank Columbus Alzheimer Center in Columbus and Acclaim Hospice and Palliative Care of Columbus, all of the Doctors, Nurses, Caregivers, and all those who comforted him through his long illness. May God bless all of these wonderful and dedicated people.

Cremation and burial has already taken place. In lieu of Flowers a Memorial Contribution may be made in Bills name to Acclaim Hospice & Palliative Care at 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr. Columbus, Ohio 43231 or the Columbus Alzheimer Care Center at 700 Jasonway Ave Columbus, Ohio 43214.
