Chester McKinley
LANCASTER: Chester V. McKinley, 88 of Lancaster, died Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 at home. He was born March 14th, 1927 in Athens County, Ohio. Son of the late George F. and Stella M. McKinley. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran that served in Japan during WWII and recipient of the Victory Medal, along with retiring from Rockwell International and Sheetmetal Local 98 in Columbus, Ohio.
Chester is survived by his daughters, Judith McKinley Hogan of Kansas City, Patricia A. (Mark) Roe of Lancaster; sons, Charles R. (Friend Lynn) McKinley of McConnelsville, Randy W. (Letitia) McKinley of Lancaster, Richard A. (Sonya) McKinley of Dothan, AL. sister, Forrest F. (McKinley) Gabriel.
Preceded in death by his parents, siblings; James W. McKinley, Dewey F. McKinley, Alice L. McKinley, Carl W. McKinley, Gerald (Herman) McKinley, Mamie L. (McKinley) Arnold, Marjorie (McKinley) Turner, Sylvia F. (McKinley) Thompson; and daughter, Diana L. (McKinley) Miller.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Rick Honsburger officiating. Internment with military honors will follow at Stukey Cemetery, Sugar Grove. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
