Jason Mann Obituary

Jason Andrew Mann, 42, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away far before his time on Dec. 23, 2013, at his home.

Jason is survived by his wife Jennifer; parents, Lee Ann and Patrick; grandmother, Rita Muffett; children, Caitlyn and Joshua, and brothers, John and Jacob.

Jason was a terrific father, husband, son and brother. He was an educator of autistic children at Breakfast Point Academy. He was a graduate of Florida State University and was pursuing a master's degree. He enjoyed spending time with his family, Disney, FSU football, Star Wars, science fiction/fantasy games and novels and cooking, to name a few. He was a loving family man with the biggest heart and best sense of humor. He was the life of the party on his own terms who will sorely be missed.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. and a celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Southerland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at any Hancock Bank location to the Memorial Fund for Jason Mann to support his wife and children.

Expressions of sympathy may be submitted or viewed at www.southerlandfamily.com.

I knew Jason back when he was working at petsmart in 98-99. I remember we pulled a lot of over nighters together getting the store ready for inspections and such. He was genuinely a good person. He always could make you laugh just being himself. My condolences go out to the Mann family.
