Theodore M. Bailey

LANCASTER: Ted Bailey, 83, died early Wednesday morning on July 25, 2012. He was born February 26, 1929, in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of Fred J. and Mary Ellen (Cable) Bailey. He is survived by niece Karen Freas and two nephews, Ron Bigham and Eddie Sisco. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Eileen Sisco, Jean Bigham, and Eleanor Bailey; brother Don Bailey; his lovely wife Alice (Wolfe); and his step-daughter Jane McCain.

Ted was proud to have served his country overseas as an Army Corporal in the Korean Conflict. A wonderful neighbor, Ted was well known for his annual display of 10,000 Easter eggs, each tied by hand onto his trees and shrubs. Ted wrote, "I had a wonderful life and had a lot of friends. I must say goodbye for now because I have to go. I'll see all of you later upstairs."

Ted's friends would like to thank Homestead Care and Rehabilitation Center and Zusman Hospice House for their excellent care of Ted. Friends and family are invited to gather at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 2 for a committal service to be held at Forest Rose Cemetery.
