He was employed by NexTech Materials in Lewis Center as a powder and process development technician.

He was an avid skier and enjoyed many trips with his father and friends. An excellent musician since childhood, he spent many hours writing, recording and playing music with many friends, notably Jesse Stickel and Sean Latta.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Gerald W. and Grace Crozier Vance; and maternal grandparents, Charles W. and Geraldine Broderick McDonald.

Scott is survived by his parents; great aunt, Judith (Ken) Garloch, Newark; uncles, David (Patty) McDonald, Franklin Furnace, Kevin (Diane) McDonald, Vincent, Ryan (Sue) McDonald, Parkersburg, WV. and Gary (Susan) Vance, Dublin; along with nine first cousins and many second cousins.

Scott's extended family included Vicki and (the late) Ed Stickel, Circleville; Kathryn and Bob Paugh, Worthington; and Kathy Binner, Canal Winchester. He also will be missed by many friends and constant companion, Whiskey, his dog.

Close friends and family will gather for an informal celebration of his life from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Shade on the Canal, 19 S. High St., Canal Winchester (43110).
