Ada Laverne McMaster

LANCASTER: Ada Laverne McMaster, 76, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the Pickering House. She was born on October 13, 1937 in Shreveport, LA. Laverne loved spending time with her grandchildren and was close to all her family. She enjoyed going to bible study with the Layman's Home Missionary Movement and doing crochet and crossword puzzles.

Laverne is survived by her children: Hoyt D. McMaster, Debra (Murl) Davis, Robert McMaster, Karen (Kevin) Brown, Loretta Parks; grandchildren: Sarah Arnett, Amanda McMaster, Meghan Davis, Gabriel Brown, Shalyn Brown, Miranda Konkler, Evan Parks; great grandsons: Jaden Chambers, Braden Floyd, Jenna Lockhart, Ashia Chambers; brother: Wayne Holtzclaw; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ivan McMaster, father: Henry W. Holtzclaw, mother: Thelma (Easley) Hines, sister: Juanita Meriwether.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30AM Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster with Pastor John Hanning and Pastor Robert Steenrod officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Visitation will be on Sunday July 13, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Layman's Home Missionary Movement, 1156 St. Matthew Rd., Chester Springs, PA 19425-2700.
