LANCASTER: Robert M. "Bob" Ream, 67, of Lancaster passed away on Monday August 18, 2014 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on January 26, 1947 in Lancaster to the late Norman and Clara (Collins) Ream. Bob served in the U. S. Marine Corp in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for NU CO2 in Columbus. Bob was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He loved spending time with family, playing golf and was an avid bowler.
Robert is survived by his wife of 27 years and best friend, Joan (Williams) Ream; children, Karynn Smith, Cassie (Shawn) Andrews, Ty (Elizabeth) Ream, Holly Ruggles-Semple, Ben (Ashley) Ruggles; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother, Norman (Janie) Ream; sister, Debra (Warren) Lohnes; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and the kid in a fur coat, Merlin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and buddy Willow.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00AM Friday August 22, 2014 at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Bill Pursley officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors. Vistitation will be on Thursday August 21, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to FairHoPe Hospice.
The family would like to thank Dr. Singh and staff, Dr. Aebi and staff and the staff at FairHoPe Hospice for the wonderful care given to Bob. Bob will be missed by special friends Steve and LuAnn Miller "Semper Fi", extended family at Pink Cricket and Texas Roadhouse, and the many wonderful neighbors who waved to Bob while sitting on the front porch.
