COLUMBIA, SC:. Claudette Marie Carroll LeVeck, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012, at UniHealth Post Acute Care Center in Columbia, South Carolina, after years of battling Alzheimer's disease. She was very popular with the nursing staff and always known to be a beloved resident in their care.
Claudette was born August 12, 1933, in Logan, Ohio to Lional and Anna Marie Carroll, but lived most of her life, before marriage, in Millersport, Ohio.
On March 20, 1954, Claudette married Gerald (Jerry) Lee LeVeck Jr. and moved to Lancaster where their four children were born and raised. Later, in 1993, their family moved to Columbia, S.C.
She was a steadfast member of the Jehovah's Witness program both in Lancaster and in Columbia.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry; sons, Andre (Andy) Lee (Vickie) LeVeck of Kahoka, Missouri, Tracy Lee (Hope) LeVeck , Kelly Lee (Amanda) LeVeck of Columbia, South Carolina; daughter, Julie Ann LeVeck of Charlotte, North Carolina; sisters, Linda Carroll, Iris Carroll Damm of Summerville, South Carolina; Judy Carroll Murphy of Ohio; brother, Bruce Carroll of Millersport, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley LeVeck (Shawn) Malone, Adam Lee LeVeck of Kahoka, Missouri, Amber LeVeck (Antonio) Ramirez of Des Moines, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Logan Malone and Andres Lee Ramirez.
Caring cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held on Friday, December 21, 2012 in Columbia, South Carolina.
Her family would like to express thanks to the staff of UniHealth Post Acute Care Center in Columbia, for their loving care.
