Obituary Condolences

Norma J. Kilbarger

LANCASTER: Norma J. Kilbarger, 85, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on September 28, 1927 to the late Grover and Lulu (Shumaker) Seifert. She was a homemaker and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church-Hamburg and Olivedale Senior Center. Norma was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans and scarves to give to others. She was extremely proud of the zinnias she grew in her garden and donated fresh flowers each week during the summer months to her church. She stayed young and active as she babysat her 2 ½ year old great granddaughter and loved going during go-kart racing season to watch her son race go-karts. She was affectionately referred to at the go-kart track as "Grandma Racetrack".

Norma is survived by son Randy Kilbarger, daughter Linda (Keith) Disbennet; granddaughter Loree (Eric) Lambert; great granddaughter Ellesan Anne Lambert; sisters in law Louise Kilbarger and Rosetta Bigham; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Eugene V. "Snuffy" Kilbarger; sons Alan and Mark Kilbarger; brother Brandt Seifert; sisters Lucille Fast and Roberta Whittington.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with the Reverend Philip Barnhart officiating. Burial to follow at the Hamburg Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sheridan Funeral Home.

The family expresses their sincere thanks to the medical and nursing staff at Fairfield Medical Center- 3rd floor, PCU and ICU and also to the many family members and friends who gave Norma and her children their love and support while she was hospitalized.
