Mary Lou (Murney) Beery

LANCASTER: Mary Lou (Murney) Beery, 76, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home. She was born on March 1, 1937 to the late James and Lil Nash Murney.

Mary Lou worked at St. Vincent De Paul for over 30 years. She was a lifetime member of F.O.E. Auxiliary where she served as secretary and is a Past State Officer. Mary Lou was also a lifetime member of Campfire. She volunteered for over 40 years at the Ohio State Fair for youth activities. She served as a voter election precinct judge for over 20 years.

Mary Lou is survived by daughters Wendy Russell and Bonnie (Tim) Parker; grandchildren Dustin and Tyler Russell and Courtney Parker.

In addition to her parents Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Floyd "Monk" Beery; brother Jim Murney.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 11:00 AM at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, May 2nd from 4-8 PM where an Eagles Auxiliary Service will take place at 7:30 PM and friends may also visit 1 hour prior to service on Friday.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mary Lou's Memorial C/O Standing Stone National Bank 137 W. Wheeling St. to continue the support for her favorite charities and youth activities at the Ohio State Fair in Mary Lou's memory.
