Thomas A. Bash

LANCASTER: Thomas A Bash, age 82, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully Monday September 29, 2014 after a long battle with his health.

To family and friends he was known as Tom. Born December 18, 1931, in Lancaster to the late Charles and Anna Bash. Tom was veteran of the Korean War where he served four years in the Navy. Tom was married for 48 years to the late Helen (Spangler) Bash.

Tom is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Michael (Rose) Bash of Frankfort, Jeffery (Robin) Bash of Sugar Grove; daughters, Beverly Raybourne and Barbara Grant of Lancaster; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn (Randy) Scott of Mt. Perry; sister, Rita Coakley of Lancaster; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Two of his closest friends: his dogs, Angel and Bengie.

Tom was retired from RBM/Essex Wire/United Technology where he spent over 50 years in various roles in addition to many part-time jobs through out his career.

Tom was preceded in death by his: wife, parents, brothers: Edward and Herbert Bash; sisters: Catherine Bernadine Farley, Mildred Bash, and twin sister Josephine Barton; son-in-law, Leon Raybourne; and one step granddaughter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30AM Friday October 3, 2014 at St. Mark Church with Fr. Peter Gideon officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be on Thursday October 2, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with a vigil service at 7:30PM.
