Dottie Edwards Obituary
LANCASTER: Dottie L. Edwards, age 86 of Lancaster, died May 19th, 2017 at Main Street Terrace. She was born to the late Ivan and Mildred Meyers Curren in Loudonville, OH on Dec. 15th, 1930. She was a Loudonville '48 graduate where she was a majorette. Dottie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a co-owner of Edward's Insurance along with her late husband, Norman, where she was an office manager for 39 years until her retirement in Sept of 1993. She loved spending time with her family and friends at their Buckeye Lake home, enjoying life to the fullest. Dottie was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose memories will be cherished by all.
She is survived by her children, Mark Edwards, Todd (Becky) Edwards, Penny (Mark) Hampshire, Tim (Kelli) Edwards, and Dale Edwards; daughter-in-law, Debbie Edwards; grandchildren, Jenny (Nick) Murdock, Tyler Edwards, Megan Edwards, Brooke Hampshire, Blake Hampshire, Sarah Edwards, Emily Edwards, and Luke Edwards; great-grandchild, Isabelle Murdock; brother, Larry Curren; several nieces and nephews; and friend and caregiver, Alma Helber.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Edwards; son, Stan Edwards; brother, Kenneth Curren; and sister, Janie Heffelfinger.
A funeral service will take place at 10:30AM on Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Matthew Richardson. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends may call on the family on Thursday, from 5PM until 8PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. Memorials in Dottie's name can be made to the FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd. Todd, Dale, & family, I am so sorry for your loss. Loved both of your parents so much. They impacted my life positively as my bosses for a number of years. (Just back from FL, so missed the being able to come to the funeral home or funeral.) Prayers for comfort for all your family.
