A wise, witty, wondering and wonderful woman has left this earth and moved on to new adventures. Teresa was born in England, emigrated to Australia first, then to Canada. She had five children of her own and later worked for many years with young children as a preschool teacher. Teresa loved hiking and at age 80 climbed the Grouse Grind, Mt. Baker and the Stawamus Chief. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer 1-1/2 years ago and has handled the time since with serenity and grace (except for a recent 8 day stay in the much hated hospital, sorry nurses!) Teresa was deeply spiritual and always believed there was a spark of goodness in everyone. Predeceased by husband Pat, and survived and lovingly remembered by children Michael (Nunung), Tony (Lana), Margaret (Fred), Angela (Rob), Patrick (Val), many grandchildren and great grandchildren and by her beloved boyfriend Neil. Thanks to the fabulous home care palliative nurses and caregivers and to Dr. Bryan Norton for his kind care. Special thanks to Anne Geary and Louise Wilson for always being there. In lieu of flowers, donations to the World Wildlife Fund Canada would be appreciated. (wwf.ca)
