Harold Leon Johnson, 84, of Rineyville, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Green County and a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Fairdale, where he worked in tract ministry for many years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 258 and retired from Ford Motor Company after 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Johnson and Gertrude Vaughn Johnson; two brothers, Delbert Johnson and David Johnson; and two sisters, Juanita Collard and Leona Gaines.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Eunice Jones Johnson; three sons, Randall (Julie) Johnson of Elizabethtown, Mike (Sherry) Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C., and Bruce (Lesa) Johnson of Greensburg; five brothers, Duell Johnson of Buffalo, Eugene Johnson and Doyle Johnson, both of Louisville, Wayne Johnson of Hodgenville and Otis Johnson of London, Ky.; and eight grandchildren, Teresa Smith, Jacob Johnson, Alicia Johnson, Kristie Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Allen Robinson, Erik Robinson and Bethany Jewell.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Revs. Jean Kelly and Mark Smith officiating. Burial follows in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
