John C. "J.C." Stillwell, 79, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, and was a retired maintenance worker for Kentucky Wood Floors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Sadie A. Brewer Stillwell; a sister, Merlene Stillwell; and three brothers, Monroe Stillwell, Marshall Stillwell and J.T. Stillwell.
He is survived by his wife, Carol J. Stillwell; a stepson, Bradley "Butch" (Sandra Shofner) Barber of Buffalo; a step-grandson, Bryan (Jamie) Barber of Summersville; a step-great-grandson, Jackson Barber; two sisters, Louise Roundtree and Carol Andrews; and three brothers, Harlen Stillwell, Roger Stillwell and Dewey Stillwell.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Craig Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m.Tuesday at the funeral home.
