Mary Jean Beam Hall, 80, of New Haven, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was born March 14, 1933, in New Haven, the daughter of the late Harry Beam and Josephine Rogers Beam. She was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven, head of the Altar Society and Bereavement Room, owner of An Old Time Florist and Bee Hive Ceramics and owner/operator of Hall & Hall Construction with her husband and son. She was a member of the Heaven Hoppers and the New Haven Cloggers and an avid bluegrass music buff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Gerald Hall Sr.; two brothers, Victor Beam and Johnny Beam; and her twin sister, Jo Ann Beam Newton.
She is survived by two sons, David Gerald "Jerry" Hall of New Haven and Victor (Cathy) Hall of Bardstown; six daughters, Deanna Nalley of Bardstown, Cathy (Steve) Williamson of Hodgenville, Jean Marie (Allen) Wimpsett of New Haven, Betty Jo (Pat) Boone of New Haven, Connie (Guy) Mouser of New Haven and Sandy (Mike) Spaulding of New Haven; three brothers, Melvin (Patty) Beam of Louisville, Mike Beam of New Haven, Hank (Martha) Beam of Niceville, Fla.; a sister, Suzanne Mobbs of Louisville; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church. Burial follows in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven where there is a prayer service at 5 p.m. today with Deacon Eddie Hutchins officiating.
