Aubrey Lee "Al" Parker, 75, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at his residence.

He was a member of the Hodgenville church of Christ, a retired petty officer first class with the United States Navy and a civil service retiree from Fort Knox, for a total of 30 years altogether with the federal government.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph and Augusta America Gordon Parker; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth McNabb and Shirley Davis; three brothers, Joe Parker, Dan Parker and Donald Parker; and a grandson, Daniel Lee Parker.
He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Marie Parker; four sons, Edward (Karen) Parker and James (Melinda) Parker, all of Hodgenville, Roger (Elaine) Parker of Pennsylvania, and Bruce (Debbie) Parker of Elizabethtown; a sister, Peggy Cummins of Tennessee; a close lifelong friend, James E. Wood Sr.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with burial to follow in South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
