Bennie L. Clyde, 75, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

He retired from the US Postal Service as a letter carrier after 42 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Lynn Clyde; his parents, Clarence and Mayme Enlow Clyde; and two brothers, Donald and Harold Clyde.
He is survived by three daughters, Debra (Carl) Alvey of Floyds Knobs, Ind., Kelly (Juan) Vega of Bardstown and Kristine (Matt) Holden of Mount Washington; a son, Barry (Geneta) Clyde of Mount Washington; two sisters, Pauline Taylor of Magnolia and Eloise Bland of Hodgenville; four brothers, Kenneth Clyde of Hodgenville, David Clyde and Paul Clyde both of Shepherdsville and Gary (Deanie) Clyde of Columbus, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Gordon McDowell and Glenda Long officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m.Friday and after 10a.m.Saturday at the funeral home.
