Charles Hercules "Chuck" Witten Jr., 61, of Glendale, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
An artist and musician, he retired from Fort Knox as a graphic illustrator and was a member of Upton Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Witten Sr. and Wilma Ruth Seeders Witten Weiland; and two sisters, Peggy Witten Thompson and Amber Witten Thurman.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Devore Witten; a sister, Linda Witten Mays of Lexington; his "dad," Jim Weiland of Hodgenville; a half-brother, Angelo Witten; a half-sister, Charlene "Tootie" Wineka; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Chuck's wishes, he was cremated and memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bros. Jeric Devore and Sam Hinkson officiating.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
