Clavis Lee Bennett, 92, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hodgenville, a lifetime farmer, an avid UK fan, and a devout Yankees fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Routt Bennett; his parents, Thomas Edmond and Leona Puckett Bennett; a sister, Madora Heady; and a brother, Conrad Bennett.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda (James) Riggs of Shepherdsville; a son, Bobby (Helen) Bennett of Hodgenville; five grandchildren, Timmy Riggs, Jeff Riggs, Sheila (Nathan) Johnson, Andy (Tiffany) Bennett, and Katie (Jerry) Cecil; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Glenn Routt and Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
