Darlie Edward Davis, 80, of Hodgenville, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at U.K. Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Ed was an Air Force veteran, he was a Christian by faith and he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ed was the owner and operator of Davis Trucking Company.
Ed was born April 1, 1937 in Winchester, Kentucky, to the late, Darlie and Ollie Mae Hamilton Davis.
Ed is preceded in death by his first wife, June Watts Davis; his parents, one son, Brian E. Davis and one brother, Robert Davis.
Ed is survived by his wife, Janice Leonard of Florida; one son, Robin Leonard of Michigan; one daughter, Kelly (Dean) Hornback of Hodgenville; two brothers, Dan Davis of Louisville and John Davis of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, Katie Wheatley, Tyler and Matthew Hornback, Tony, Josh, Emily, Justin and Brooke Davis and Aiden Leonard and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Darlie Edward Davis will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at William R. Rust Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Brother Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Church Cemetery.
Visitation for Darlie Edward Davis will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. and will continue Saturday after 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
