Dewey Wayne Enlow, 75, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at 5:32 a.m., at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a 1957 graduate of Buffalo High School, a United States Army veteran, a 1998 retiree of the United States Postal Service in Hodgenville, as a letter carrier and postal clerk with more than 30 years total in government services. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, University of Kentucky sports fan and Cincinnati Reds fan. He was also a member of B.R. Young Lodge #132 F&AM in Hodgenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Virginia Enlow; and a granddaughter, Gabrielle Enlow.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 ½ years, Juanita Thomas Enlow; a son, Mike (Shannon) Enlow of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Susan (Pat) Vowels of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Paige and Hailey Enlow and Brock and Mallory Vowels; a sister, Carol (Kenneth) Thomas of Hodgenville; a brother, Joe (Vicky) Enlow of Hodgenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Gary Hendrickson, Rev. Carlton Puryear, and Rev. Cory Murashige officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
