Dorothy Powell Butler, 74, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at her residence.
She was a Hodgenville High School graduate, a housewife, a member of Hodgenville Pentecostal Church and a former volunteer for the LaRue County Jail Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Leon Butler; a grandson, Jeremy Todd Snider; and her parents, Silas and Laura Toby Powell.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Butler Snider and her husband Keith of Washington, Mo.; a son, Terry Christopher Butler of Hodgenville; a sister, Margaret Diane Curry of Hodgenville; a brother, Claude Powell of Buffalo; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, with Rev. David Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgenville Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
