Edwin D. Miller, 66 of Louisville, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.
Born in Hodgenville, he grew up in Hart County, where he attended Hart County High School. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church. Ed was previously employed by Swope Auto Group and Sloane Auto Group. He was currently employed with M H Equipment. He was a proud Kentucky Colonel and an avid UK fan. He was a member of the Hardin County Jaycees for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burd and Nellie Miller; and his brother, Ralph Miller.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Bogard Miller; children, Brian (Debbie) and Kevin (Dawna) Miller; step-children, Jason Shaffer (Audra), Michael Brown (Joey), Amy Newton (Josh) and Jennifer Demo (Brian); grandchildren, Tradd, Tori, Trae, Tate, Ava and Ella Miller, Victoria and Cassie Shaffer, Haley and Cameron Brown, Allie, Madison and Wyatt Newton, and Abigail Demo; great-granddaughter, Adly Miller; siblings, Holbert Miller, Jesse Miller (Bev), Berny Miller (Pat), Randall Miller (Nancy), Nancye Bazzle, Martha Rickwald (Michael); mother and father in-law, Evelyn "Mama" and Bob Owens. Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ed's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville. Visitation will be there on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
