Ellen Marie Cain, age 42, and her son, Tucker Phillip Wimpee, age 13, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013.
Tucker was a 7th grader at Stuart Pepper Middle School, where he was actively involved in the Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA); the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP); and in Archery.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Franklin and Joyce Ann Montgomery Cain. She is survived by two daughters, Denae Wimpee, Bellevue, NE, Julianne Wimpee, Battletown, KY; a sister, Bonita Sue Dages, Battletown, KY; four brothers, Lynn Franklin Cain, Vine Grove, KY, Dennis Lee Cain, Brandenburg, KY, Jesse Cain, Jr., Mt. Sterling, KY, Scott Cain, Battletown, KY; three nieces, Elizabeth, Brook, Shirley; two nephews, Robby and Aaron.
Tucker was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Margie and Bill Weick, Thomas C. Wimpee; his grandparents, Jessie & Joyce Cain; and his cousin, Julie Weick. He is survived by his father and step mother, Phillip and Mona Wimpee, Battletown, KY; his siblings, Denae and Julianne Wimpee, Christine and John Miller; his grandparents, Wayne and Nita Wimpee, Battletown, KY, a niece, Claire; a nephew, Wyatt; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from the Weicks, Wimpees and Cains.
Funeral Services for Ellen and Tucker, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Graves, officiating. Burial will follow in New Highland Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3-8 PM on Tuesday and after 9:00 AM on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to funeral home to aid with the expenses.
