Eloise "Wezzie" Gibson Tharp, 83, of Magnolia, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

A homemaker and former assistant at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home, she was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and the homemakers club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Tharp; her parents, Joe and Lula Buckner Gibson; and two sisters, Frankie Milby and Blondina Tierney.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Selleck of Elizabethtown and Joey (Jay) Wood of Magnolia; a son, Brad (Brenda) Tharp of Mount Sherman; three sisters, Vivian Caven of Magnolia and Dorothy Smith and Leona Remines, both of Louisville; two brothers, Foster Gibson of Louisville and Garland "Hoot" Gibson of Florida; her companion, Molly; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Dwayne Southwood officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation is 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
