Freddie Wells, 67, of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was an elder and board chairperson at Hodgenville Christian Church and Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era. After retiring as principal of LaRue County Middle School, he spent his time raising miniature horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Sara Elizabeth Salsman Wells; and a brother, Ricky Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Kargle Wells; a daughter, Sara Wells of Lexington; a son, John Everett Wells of West Virginia; and three brothers, Billy Wells of Hodgenville, Raymond Wells of Campbellsville and Timmy Wells of Louisville.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Carlton Puryear officiating. A private burial will be in South Fork Church Cemetery.
Visitation begins after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
