Gladys Clare Flanders Meredith, 94, of Hodgenville, passed away February 8, 2018 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
Gladys was a Baptist by faith and she was a member of Ovesen Heights Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Gladys was born in LaRue County to the late Lloyd and Mattie Price Flanders.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Thomas Meredith; her parents, three sisters, Ella Hatfield, Virginia Underwood and Bernice Hatfield; one step-daughter, Louise Davenport and one grandson, Terry Clyde.
Gladys is survived by four sons, W.T. (Mary) Meredith of Lake City Florida, Bobby (Diane) Meredith of Port SL Lucy, Florida, Timmy (Roxanne) Meredith of Hodgenville and Russell Meredith of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Regina (David) Clyde of Shepherdsville, Ky., Brenda (Mike) Brady of Elizabethtown, and Sandra (Joe) Reid of Nashville TN.; one brother, Marvin "Pete" Flanders of Louisville; twenty grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Gladys Clare Flanders Meredith will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel. Burial will follow at Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation for Gladys Clare Meredith will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel from 3 to 8 p.m. and will continue after 9 on Sunday until time of service.
