Hazel Spradlin Denham, 94, of Hodgenville passed away, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was born December 28, 1920 to the late John and Corilda Spradlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lansford Denham; a sister, Mamie Spradlin, and two brothers, Cecil and Elmer Spradlin.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Hodgenville. She lived her childhood and early adulthood in Barren County, where she met and married the love of her life, Lansford Denham. She moved to Hodgenville in 1943 and started working in the Powder Puff Beauty Shop, which she later purchased. Altogether, she worked as a beautician for 70 years before retiring. She was kind hearted and a friend to everyone.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Creed Denham; a niece, Arlene (Danny) Vincent, two nephews; Harold (Sharon) Denham and Terry (Patsy) Denham, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Reverend George Smith and Dr. Paul Richey officiating. Burial will follow in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 29 and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 30 at the funeral home.
