Herbert "Herbie" Wilson Hatcher Jr., 65, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg.
He was a self-employed construction worker and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Hatcher; a son, Dante Hatcher; his parents, Herbert Sr. and Laura Ellen Raymer Hatcher; three sisters, Carolyn Hatcher, Angela Hatcher and Charlotte Barber; and a brother, Bobby Hatcher.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Smith Hatcher; four sisters, Shelia Shelton of Buffalo, Fran Hatcher of Hodgenville, Bonnie (Wayne) White of Alaska and Ollie (Joe) Harris of North Carolina; eight brothers, Jimmy (Kay) Hatcher of Campbellsville, David (Ritha) Hatcher and Gary (Daphene) Hatcher, all of Shepherdsville, Steve (Jan) Hatcher of Buffalo, Tommy (Kim) Hatcher of Glendale, Mark (Theresa) Hatcher of Buffalo, Barry Hatcher of Howardstown, and Timmy (Tammy) Hatcher of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Greg Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation is 2:30-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
