"Pete" James A. Kilgore, 71 of Sonora, passed away Monday, November 13 at his residence.?
James was a lifelong farmer and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Geraldine Hornback. He is survived by his wife, Frances Kilgore; a son, Nathan (Karen) Kilgore; two brothers, Tim (Carolyn) Hornback and Brent (Regina) Hornback; four sisters, Portia Szatkowski, Marcia (Wayne) Barnes, Helen (Eddie) Cecil and Connie (Ronnie) Heath. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.?
The funeral will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 16 at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora with Reverend Billy Curle and Reverend Tony Carson officiating. Burial follows in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate bibles to Gideon's International.
