James Russell Dougherty, 73 of Hodgenville, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Missouri, a graduate of Adrian College in Michigan and a deacon. He retired from Collis, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Deanna Sue Dougherty; a son, Russell Dean Dougherty; his parents, Russell Craswell and Lucille Hypes Dougherty.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Dougherty; one son, Michael David (Tina) Dougherty of Elkhart, Ind.; one daughter, Kelly (Bob) Walker of Radcliff; one sister, Diana; eight grandchildren, Cassandra Willcut, Candice, Brianna, Benjamin, Calvin, Daniel and Frances Dougherty and Bobby Walker; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
