James Thomas "J.T." Hines, 83, of Magnolia, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at his residence.
A lifelong farmer, he was a retired yardman for Dealers Transport; a member of Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Church; a lifelong teamster with Teamsters Local 89 and a former member of the Magnolia Lions Club.
J.T. was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marjory Cunningham Hines on January 4, 2016; his parents, Monta Alton and Clara Opal Puckett Hines and a sister, Joyce Gravens.
He is survived by a daughter, Alison (Roger) Nally of Bardstown; a granddaughter, Rachel Schwab; two special cousins, Randy (Suzy) Hines and Ricky (Jamie) Hines all of Magnolia; several nieces and nephews and all his friends at South Fork Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Brother Bill Macy officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
