Jimmie Lee Wood, 74, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was retired from Kentucky Agricultural Energy Corporation in Franklin, a Navy veteran, member of Magnolia Baptist Church, former chairman of the LaRue County Board of Education and a former member of Magnolia Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Lucille Wells Wood; and a brother, Edmond Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Della Wood; two sons, Jay (Joey) Wood of Magnolia and Steven (Karen) Wood of Hodgenville; two stepdaughters, Sandy Wright of Louisville and Tammy (Aaron) Gibson of Upton; two stepsons, Barry (Joan) Beams of Elizabethtown and Terry Beams of Hodgenville; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
