Jimmy Dale "Chubs" Murphy, 43, of Hodgenville passed away Sept. 13, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of LaRue Missionary Baptist Church in Hodgenville and a 1987 graduate of LaRue County High School. He was disabled working many years with River City Development in Louisville.
He was born Jan. 3, 1969.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Lee Murphy.
He is survived by his wife, Christina "Christy" Murphy and son Dylan Winfrey, both of Elizabethtown; his parents, Louis Perkins Murphy of Hodgenville and Ray C. Murphy of Mount Sherman; a sister, Peggy S. (Stanley) Harmon of Mount Sherman; two brothers, Timmy Murphy and Larry Wayne Murphy, both of Mount Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral for Jimmy Dale "Chubs" Murphy will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 15 in the chapel of Rust-Wright Funeral Home 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, with Rev. Calvin Edwards, pastor of Aetna Grove Baptist Church in Green County officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Rust-Wright Funeral Home.
Rust-Wright Funeral Home in Hodgenville is in charge of arrangements.
