Joseph Berry Boone, 53, of Howardstown, died at his residence on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014.
He was a lifelong resident of Howardstown, a Catholic by faith and a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church. He was the owner of Boone's Construction, Homebuilding and Excavation, and former employee of Bird and Son in Bardstown. Berry was an avid rabbit and squirrel hunter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albertus Leon "Punch" Boone.
Berry is survived by his loving wife, Andie Masterson Boone; his two daughters, Kaylyn and Karah Boone, all of Howardstown; his mother, Mary Huberta Boone of Hodgenville; one brother, Bryant Boone, of Bloomfield, Indiana; two sisters, Joyce Boone Monacelli (Bobby) of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and Georjean Boone Cecil (Eric), of Pendleton, Indiana; and one niece, Madison Cecil. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and very close friends also survive.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Saint Ann Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Fortener officiating. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 with a prayer service at 6 p.m. with Deacon Jim Cecil presiding, and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Oct. 28 at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.
