Katherine Hornback Cruse, 87, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

Katherine was a loving mother, mammaw and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family.
She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Atha Salsman Hornback; two brothers, Paul Hornback and Otis Hornback; one sister, Geneva Hutcherson; and one granddaughter, Nicki Cruse.
She is survived by three sons, Charles (Maxine) Cruse of Moline, Illinois, Rick (Debbie) Cruse of Buffalo, and Linny (Tammy) Cruse of Hodgenville; three daughters, Bonnie Cruse of Buffalo, Atha (Jerry) Philhower of Laurel, Montana, and Doris (Mike) Nickell of Florissant, Colorado; three brothers, Ed Hornback of Brooks, Jim (Ruth) Hornback of Hodgenville, and Bill (Nellie) Hornback of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Betty Klokner of Binghamton, New York, and Aline (Melvin) Mortensen of Hodgenville; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral for Katherine Hornback Cruse will be 11 a.m. Aug. 23, 2014, at William R. Rust Funeral Home – Hodgenville Chapel with Melvin Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, and will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
