Leroy Gardner, 87, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, August 22, 2016 at his residence.
He was retired from civil service at Ft. Knox after 40 years of service, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of South Fork Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Edna Thomas Gardner, his parents, Creed and Vadie Carter Gardner, two sisters, Alene Clopton and Frances Powell and two brothers, Creed J. Gardner and Arnold Gardner.
He is survived by a brother, Bro. Gerald (Margie) Gardner of Hodgenville and several nieces, nephews, neighbors, church family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Reverend Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. on Friday, August 26 at the funeral home until time for services.
