Leslie L. Dever, 90, of Prophetstown, Illinois, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Rock Falls, Illinois.
Leslie was born July 19, 1926 in New Haven, KY, the son of Leslie and Alma (Durbin) Dever. He served in the US Navy and later was employed by Dever Construction in Prophetstown, Illinois. Leslie enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, collecting coins and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include three daughters, Pam (Mark) Shaner of Prophetstown, Illinois, Alma (Doug) Dunlap of Lyndon, Illinois and Anne Oncken of Bauxite, Arkansas; a son, Jeff Dever of Buckville, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 15 at the Edlin Creek Cemetery near Lyons Station.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 14 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
