Linn Conrad "Connie" Chelf, 81, of Magnolia, passed away Saturday,
March 23, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a retired farmer; retired from the U.S. Air Force; was a member of
Pikeview Baptist Church and attended Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian
Church; and was a 53-year member of Gavel Lodge #570 F&AM in Magnolia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Bruce and Myrtle Shelton
Chelf; and a brother, William Holbert Chelf.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Chelf; a son, Michael (Denise) Chelf of
Houston, Texas; two grandsons, Michael Shane (Andrea) Chelf and Marc Shawn
Chelf, all of Houston, Texas; a great-grandson, Grayson Luke Chelf; and
several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Anthony Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.; and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
