Quay Skaggs, 81, of Magnolia, passed away, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital.
The native of Green County was retired from LG&E, member of Liberty Baptist Church in Green County, attended Steadfast Baptist Church in Hodgenville, an Army veteran, an avid UK fan and a staunch Republican.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Moody and Nola Durrett Skaggs; three sisters, Virgie Boston, Clarene Berry and Wilmadean Luttrell and two brothers, Kenneth Skaggs and Athel Skaggs.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ragland Skaggs; two sons, Steve (Linda) Skaggs of Buffalo and Troy Skaggs of Mt. Sherman; a sister, Ellouise Moore of Louisville; a brother, Boyce Skaggs of Louisville; a granddaughter, Chrissy DeSpain and a great-grandson, Zachary DeSpain.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 28 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Rodney Troutman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 and after 9 a.m. on Sunday, August 28 at the funeral home.
