Ray Thompson, age 81, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was a maintenance employee at Ft. Knox, a farmer and attended Pleasant Ridge Separate Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Clora Ethel Warren Thompson; three sisters, Irene Metcalf, Darlene Davis and Ada Lewis and three brothers, Homer Thompson, Walter John Thompson and Rev. Melvin Thompson.
He is survived by a daughter, Tina (Greg) Thomas of Munfordville; two sons, J.R. (Lora) Thompson of Charleston, SC and Timmy Thompson of Hardyville; five grandchildren, Eric Thompson, Tiffany Thompson, Marcus Thompson, Chaz Thompson and Austin Thompson and five great-grandchildren, Riley, Wyatt, Rylee, Emberlyn and Elijah Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery, Pleasant Church Road, Mt. Sherman, Ky.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
