Robert K. "Bob" Vance, 98, of Frankfort, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at his residence.
He was a member of Hodgenville United Methodist Church, retired from the United States Postal Service, former owner of the Ford garage in Hodgenville, a farmer, an avid UK basketball fan and an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Wilson Vance, his parents, Richard K. and Mary Pearl Bridgewater Vance and three sisters, Thelma Smyser, Sybil Blakeman and Milidene Ennis.
He is survived by three daughters; Pamela (Joe David) McDonald of Boulder, Colorado, Penelope Tinker of Santa Barbara, California and Beverly (Joe) Dobner of Frankfort; a son, Robert Kelly (Lisa Seymour) Vance of Statesboro, Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Reverend Carlton Puryear officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Greensburg.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and after 11 a.m. on Sunday at the funeral home until time for services.
