Roy Lee Meredith, 83, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was retired from Phillip Morris in Louisville, an Army and an Air Force veteran, an avid NASCAR fan, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Meers Meredith; his parents, Emmett Lee and Idell McGrew Meredith, two sisters, Joyce Meredith and Leona Chambers, and three brothers, Elmer Lewis "Pete" Meredith, Joe Meredith, and John Meredith.
He is survived by two sisters, Patsy (Harold) Cook of Stephensburg, and Dolores "Dolye" Wooden of Clarkson; a special companion/caregiver, Betty Peace of Hodgenville; and a sister-in-law, Margie Parker of Louisville.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Eric Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Saturday, and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

I send my condolences to the family and friends of Roy. He was a very nice and kind man.
I worked at Philip Morris and always enjoyed talking with Roy. He always had a smile and was very respectful. He will be missed. RIP.
