Sherl Brown Jr. 84, formerly of Hodgenville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in Winston-Salem, N.C., where he had lived since 1963.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Dye Brown and Sherley Brown; two brothers, Kenneth and Calvin; and two sisters, Helen Walters and Nancy Hubbard.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Elliott Brown of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Linda Esposito of Kernersville, N.C.; two sons, Jeffrey Brown of Lewisville, N.C. and Mitchell Brown of Raleigh, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
He served in the Air Force and retired from Piedmont Airlines in 1989. He was a 1946 graduate of Hodgenville High School.
Arrangements are being handled by Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Clemmons, N.C.
