Sopha Lee Turner, 89, of Magnolia, passed away, Monday, July 22, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

She was a member of Mount Zion Separate Baptist Church in Magnolia and was very active in the Nolynn Association of Separate Baptists in Christ of Kentucky, and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Ellis Turner; a son, Charlie Carol Turner; and her parents, Berling Elwood and Opha Jane Pottinger Whitlow.
She is survived by two daughters, Elvina (Ronnie) Marcum of Greensburg and Brenda (Lynn) Skaggs of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Andra Skaggs (Darin) Deaton, Steve (Sandy) Skaggs, Billy (Tammy) Turner, Dana (Tim) Mullens, and Eric (Ashley Benningfield) Marcum; and eight great-grandchildren, Craig Turner, Ashleigh Turner, Emily Turner, Matthew Turner, Allie Kessler, Kayla Skaggs, Christian Skaggs and Makenna Deaton.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Gerald Gardner and Rev. Roger Pepper officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
